Some time ago, you decided to enrol in our ICT programme. This was the first important step in becoming an ICT professional. Every semester, you are offered a number of choices with which you must ask yourself these three questions: what kind of ICT professional do I want to be? What do I want to learn? And how do I want to learn that?
The Fontys ICT Study Navigator is intended to help you make the choice that suits you best.
Click on the semester you are currently in
to find out which choices you should consider at this time.
In the first semester (Start Semester) you have to choose one of the main study programmes.
Take a look and see what these programmes are about:
You also have the option to continue your study in the Associate Degree (AD-ICT):
How do you learn best? What do you need at this stage of your development to become the ICT professional you want to be? At FHICT, we give you the freedom to choose how you want to learn.
You have already been introduced to course-based or demand-based education. Starting from your third semester, you can also choose the open learning method.
The two earlier teaching methods vary in the degree of predictability and flexibility. The content, however, remains the same. This cannot be said about open learning, in which you decide what you learn mostly on your own.
Click on the button below to discover which teaching method suits you best!
In the third semester you have to choose one of the specialisations that you will follow in semester 4.
Take a look and see what these specialisations are about:
*The information about the specialisations is applicable to students who are currently in semester 1, 2 or 3. If you are in semester 4 or higher please visit 'Fontys ICT: Specialisations and Minors'.
Now that your internship is coming closer, your orientation and also your choices are becoming more serious. Off course, you have already chosen a profile and a specialisation, but now, you will start to more and more define and choose your path towards entering the professional field.
If you're thinking about a Minor Abroad, this is the moment to orientate.
In this semester you have to choose between your main study programme or an Open Learning Semester.
If you're thinking about a Minor Abroad, this is the moment to orientate.
This Studynavigator is intended for students in the new curriculum. If you are currently in semester 5 or higher, please check the Keuzegids.
The Fontys ICT Study Navigator is still in development. Information about Graduation can be found here later, but you can visit our Partner in Education website to find the companies we work with and are suitable for an assignment to graduate.
Good luck with your graduation! After this we hope you will find a nice job and join our community of alumni!
