Pre-Master JADS (The Jheronimus Academy of Data Science)

This minor offers the pre-master for the master-program Data Science Business and Enterpreneurship of the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS) in 's Hertogenbosch.

The main benefit for you is that you can immediately start your Master program at the JADS after your Bachelor graduation at Fontys.

Content

The pre-master is offered once a year (starting in February).
It contains five courses at JADS about the following subjects:

Programming
Data-structures and Algorithms
Introduction to Machine Learning
Foundations of Databases
Modelling

Availability

The Jads pre-master is only given in the Spring semester (Feb-Jun).

Admission
You are admitted to this minor when all these requirements are fulfilled:

you have completed the Academic Preparation specialisation
you have a letter of recommendation of your mentor
you must have excellent grades for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th semester (specifically: your grades must be (in any order) S-G-O-O, or G-G-G-O or better)
you have passed the linear algebra course 822190-B-6 at the Tilburg University (Fall semester)
the pre-master coordinator has given a positive advice

Enrollment
Besides the minor enrollment in the Fontys administrative systems (ProgressWWW), you have to be enrolled at JADS as well. Enrollment for JADS is executed by the pre-master coordinator, Joris Geurts (fhict-academictransfer@fontys.nl). Contact him in an early stage to ensure a smooth study plan (e.g. during your 3rd semester).

Enrollment for the Linear Algebra course (at the Tilburg University): contact the pre-master coordinator well in advance.
